By downloading or using Halto, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These terms govern your use of Halto. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Use of the App
Halto is a personal productivity tool designed to help you limit time spent on distracting apps. You agree to use it lawfully and not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app.
- Use the app to interfere with other users or devices.
- Attempt to bypass or disable the blocking functionality by malicious means.
3. Free and Pro Tiers
Halto offers a free tier with limited features and a Pro subscription that removes ads and unlocks unlimited focus sessions, sessions of up to 120 minutes, every blocking category plus your own custom apps, Strict Mode, Intent Mode and the Accountability Partner. Features available in each tier are subject to change with reasonable notice.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
- Pro is a monthly subscription, billed through Google Play.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- A free trial period may be offered. You will be charged at the end of the trial unless cancelled.
- Refunds are handled by Google Play in accordance with their refund policy.
- We do not issue refunds directly. Contact Google Play support for billing disputes.
5. Effectiveness of Blocking
Halto uses Android's Usage Access, Display over other apps and (optional) Accessibility Service to block apps. While we make every effort to provide effective blocking, we cannot guarantee 100% effectiveness across all devices, Android versions, and manufacturer customisations. The app is provided as a tool to support your focus goals, not as an absolute technical barrier.
6. Accountability Partner Feature
The Accountability Partner feature is entirely voluntary and operates between you and your chosen contact. LogicGateGames LLC is not responsible for any actions taken by your accountability partner, nor for the outcome of any accountability arrangement you enter into.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
Halto is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LogicGateGames LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Halto, including loss of data, loss of productivity, or any other loss.
9. Changes to the App
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for material changes affecting Pro subscribers.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which LogicGateGames LLC operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
