This Privacy Policy describes how LogicGateGames collects, uses, and shares information when you use Halto. By using the app you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
We do not directly collect or store any personally identifiable information. Third-party services may collect data as follows:
- Google AdMob - Displays ads to free users. May collect device identifiers and ad interaction data.
- Google Play Billing - Handles Pro subscription payments. Payment data is managed entirely by Google.
2. Usage Statistics
Halto uses Android Usage Access permission to monitor which apps are open in order to block distracting apps during focus sessions. This data is processed entirely on your device and never uploaded to our servers.
3. Focus Session Data
Session history, streaks, and stats are stored locally on your device only.
4. Accountability Partner Feature
If you use the Accountability Partner feature, you voluntarily provide a contact name and phone number stored locally on your device. A one-time approval SMS and optional daily summary SMS may be sent to your chosen contact via your device SMS service. We do not transmit this to our servers.
5. Permissions
- Usage Access - Detects foreground app for blocking.
- Display over other apps - Shows the block overlay screen.
- Accessibility Service (optional) - Improves detection of dual apps. Not required.
- VPN - Alternative blocking mechanism on some devices.
- Internet - Required for ads and in-app purchases.
- Notifications - Focus reminders and streak alerts you configure.
- Send SMS - Optional Accountability Partner feature only.
- Ad ID - Used by AdMob. Can be opted out in device Settings.
6. In-App Purchases
Pro subscriptions are handled entirely by Google Play. We do not receive your payment details.
7. Advertising
Free users see ads via Google AdMob. Pro subscribers see no ads.
8. Data Retention
All data is stored locally on your device. Uninstalling Halto removes all local data. No data is stored on external servers.
9. Children
Halto is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
