These terms apply when you use Cerno. By using the App you agree to them.
1. Licence
You have a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Cerno on devices you own. You may not reverse-engineer the App except where the law permits it regardless of this term.
2. Your Photos and Videos Are Yours
Cerno makes no claim to anything on your device. It reads your library to show you what is there and to carry out the deletions you choose, and nothing more.
3. You Decide What Is Deleted
Cerno never deletes anything on its own, on a schedule, or in the background. Every item removed is one you selected and confirmed. If you switch on Skip confirmations, Android no longer shows its own confirmation and Cerno's button becomes the final step. Items go to your device's system trash, where Android keeps them for 30 days before removing them permanently - during that time you can restore them from your gallery app.
Once the system trash empties, recovery is not possible. Cerno holds no copy of your media and cannot retrieve anything for you. If something matters to you, back it up before cleaning.
4. Duplicate Detection Is A Best Guess
The App groups photos it estimates are near-identical and marks the sharpest of each group as the one to keep. This is an estimate. It can group photos that are merely similar, it can misjudge which shot is best, and it can miss duplicates entirely. Nothing in a group is selected until you select it - including with the "Select all but the best" shortcut - and nothing is removed without your decision. Review each group rather than relying on the grouping.
5. Storage Figures Are Approximate
Sizes and freed-space totals come from what Android reports about your files. The space your device actually reclaims can differ, and it is not reclaimed at all until the system trash empties.
6. Purchases
Cerno is free with ads, and the free version limits how many photos you can review each day. A one-time purchase, not a subscription, removes the ads, lifts the daily limit and unlocks every pile. Pricing is shown in the App, and all purchases are handled by Google Play under its terms and refund policy. We do not process payments and never see your payment details.
7. Availability
We may change or discontinue the App without notice.
8. No Warranty
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
9. Limitation Of Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages or for loss of data arising from use of the App.
10. Changes To These Terms
We may revise these terms. Continued use after a revision means you accept it; the date above reflects the latest version.
